Image Animator Demo
A tiny demo app that can animate a static image using Runway AI.
Overview
This demo shows a single, general use case for animating an image with a prompt. Using the RunwayML API, you can upload an image and output a short animation.
Note: This is a barebones demo that could be enhanced by testing more powerful and prompts and incorporating more tools. The real win was building the prototype in a few minutes to be able to test with.
Challenge
Take a single, ordinary image file and animate it. Inspired by other demos and scuttlebutt at the time, this was an easy way to demonstrate some of the power of AI.
Solution
We spun up a tiny app, 90% of which was generated by Claude Code.
Results
Shock and awe, mostly. No kidding, a demo user uploaded a photo of an old relative and saw them come to life. It's off-putting when it works.
